On the Greek island of Lesbos, the Moria migrant camp, home to 12,800 people, has completely burned down.

The campers retreated to the mountains, settled in the surrounding areas, and many of them turned to the city.

Dozens of fires broke out in and around the camp. Twenty-five firefighters and ten police cars were involved in extinguishing the fire.

The fire occurred after 35 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the camp, but the cause of the accident is unknown.

It is the largest refugee camp in Greece.
