Mount Merapi erupts again in Indonesia

The most active volcano, Mount Merapi erupted on Thursday morning in Indonesian Java Island, Report informs citing the Xinhua.

 

The volcano spewed a column of ash by up to 2,000 meters to the sky. Local rescue services are on high alert.

 

Merapi, which name comes from " mountain of fire," is the most active in the country. The volcano killed 353 people, and about 350,000 others were forced to evacuate during the eruption from October to November 2010.
